JYC Coursebooks
Our five year cycle of Junior Youth Challenge Coursebooks are the basis for Bible teaching in our JYC groups, but are now also available for general purchase.
The Coursebooks are aimed at the 11-15 age group. Each book contains 12 Bible lessons but the material is flexible enough to allow each lesson to be divided into two parts. This gives up to 24 lessons – enough for a full years teaching!
A mixture of evangelistic lessons and lessons on living the Christian life are included, all with a strong Bible basis. Lessons are enriched with case studies, role play situations, sketches, interviews and much more.
An abundance of eye-catching visuals will appeal to your teens, and help explain each lesson. These visuals can be used as posters, overhead transparencies or a multimedia presentation. Your teens will enjoy reviewing the lessons with a variety of handouts including wordsearches, crossword puzzles, charts, questions and more.
Each Coursebook comes with a CD containing ready to use colour and black and white visuals in Adobe PDF format, as well as visuals prepared for PowerPoint presentations. These materials can be purchased from the CEF of Ireland National Office or contact David & Olivia Crutchley for more details.

The 12 lessons are arranged under the following headings: “God says This is My Word”; God says These are my Standards”; “God says Christ is the answer; “God says What is your response?”
This Coursebook begins with lessons entitled, “Spiritual Warfare”, “The Enemy’s Strategy”, “Joining the Army” and “Ready for Battle” and then helps young people explore Ephesians chapter six with a series of lessons on the Armour of God.
Teens learn about “The True God”, “The Way to God” and “Living God’s Way” as well as discovering God’s Way with things like Time, Authority, Possessions and Morality.
Lessons from the lives of those who followed the Lord Jesus when He was here on earth including Peter, John, Judas, Andrew and Mary Magdalene.
Lessons are arranged under the headings “How in the world did we get here?” What in the world is wrong?”, “Where in the world are you?”, “In the world but not of the world”, “Who in the world is right? “Why in the world am I here?” and “Where in the world should I go?”
